Stephen Jan is Co-Director of Health Systems Research at the George Institute for Global Health. He is Professor of Health Economics at the University of New South Wales and a Visiting Researcher at the Centre for Health Economics and Policy Innovation (CHEPI) at Imperial College, London. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences, and a Chief Investigator in the (NHMRC-funded) Australian Prevention Partnership Centre. He has previously held positions at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation. His interests are health systems, economic evaluation, health financing, and the economics of non-communicable diseases. His qualifications are: BEc, MEc, PhD (awarded in 2003).
