As Fellowship Director, I am in charge of the day-to-day operation of the program, including the development and implementation of the educational curriculum for our fellows, and discussing their evaluations, research projects, and career options. I am also a professor of medicine in anesthesiology and medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. I serve as Principal Investigator for several clinical trials in septic shock and acute lung injury. In addition to my clinical and research activities at MSK, I am actively involved in critical care medicine at a national level, serving as a member of the Board of Regents of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and a member of the editorial boards of CHEST Journal, Critical Care Medicine, and Journal of Critical Care. I was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award and the Safar Global Partner Award from the Society of Critical Care Medicine for exceptional leadership contributions to the vision and mission of the Society.
