Spiros N. Nikolopoulos received the diploma degree in computer engineering and informatics and the M.Sc. degree in computer science and technology from the University of Patras, Greece, in 2002 and 2004, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in semantic multimedia analysis using knowledge and context from the Queen Mary University of London, in 2012. He is currently a Senior Researcher with Center for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), Information Technologies Institute (ITI). His research interests include computer vision, big data and visual analytics, visual and augmented reality, and brain–computer interfaces. His scientific work has been published in more than 28 peer-reviewed journals, 66 international conferences, and 15 book chapters.
