I develop, Q/A and use models & codes for assessing transport & fate of radionuclides in the environment. These models start with routine or accidental releases to air, water, soil, sediments or groundwater, perform atmospheric, aquatic and groundwater dispersion, and predict radionuclide concentrations in environmental media, food products, and urban environments, and doses and risks to humans and non-human biota. I am upgrading, verifying, validating, and making these codes, and databases of parameter values ready to be used for predicting dose from normal operations, for accident consequence analysis, safety & licensing, emergency response, ecological risk assessments, env. risk assessments, and for supporting environmental protection, remediation, decommissioning and waste management.
