Smita De

Smita De received the Ph.D. and M.D. degree in bioengineering from the University of Washington,  Seattle, WA, USA, in 2008 and 2010, respectively. She is currently the VISE Fellow and a Clinical Instructor in Urologic Surgery, Vanderbilt University. She was accepted to the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Washington during which she received Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award. She subsequently completed a residency in Urology at Stanford University and spent a year with the R&D department at Intuitive Surgical, Inc. Her research interests include the development and improvement of surgical devices and technologies for Urologists.
