Simon Chi-Wang Wong (Member, IEEE) received the B.Comp.Sci. degree with distinction from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, MN, USA, in 1993, the M.Phil. degree in asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) network research from the Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), Hong Kong, in 1997, and the Ed.D. degree in information technology (IT) education research from the University of Leicester, Leicester, U.K., in 2012. After obtaining the B.Comp.Sci. degree, he conducted research work on self-healing ATM network for the M.Phil. study at the Department of Computing, PolyU. After obtaining the M.Phil. degree, he continued his teaching work at PolyU. Then, he was a Senior Consultant for Oracle, specializing in presales and postsales support, bid and proposal management, project management in Oracle course development, consultancy, and training of Oracle products for various sectors. Since joining the College of Professional and Continuing Education, PolyU, he has been teaching various IT courses. His research interests include IT education research, specializing in investigation of factors influencing learning effectiveness of online education, students' and teachers' perceptions of student response systems, and learning effectiveness of multimedia learning.
