个人简介
General speaking, my research interests focus on the interplay between chemical structure and physicochemical properties of smart and responsive materials, with special emphasis on sub-micron size objects or nanostructured surfaces. My approach to study those systems include among others Super-resolution Fluorescence microscopy techniques, Time-resolved Fluorescence microscopy and Surface-enhance Raman microscopy.
I studied Chemistry in the University of Málaga (Spain) where i also did my PhD on the topic of the Charge Transfer Mechanism acting on the SERS (Surface-enhanced Raman Scattering) of azine derivatives adsorbed on silver nanostructured surfaces under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Juan Carlos Otero Fernández de Molina in the department of Physical Chemistry. After my PhD i moved for two years to the group of Prof. Johan Hofkens in the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven where i got some expertise on Super-resolution Fluorescence microscopy techniques. After that I was working as a Postdoc and as an Assistant Professor in the department of Physical Chemistry in Málaga. During that time i also did some short stays in the Universität Konstanz where i could work with Prof. Andreas Zumbusch in the Department of Chemistry and got introduced in the topic of CARS (Coherent AntiStokes Raman Scattering) microscopy. With the expertise gained together in Leuven and Konstanz i could contribute to the design and set-up of the Laboratorio de Microscopía No Lineal in los Servicios de Apoyo a la Investigación (SCAI) in the University of Málaga (Spain). Since 2016, I work as a Postdoc in the group of Prof. Dominik Wöll in the Institute für Physikalische Chemie in RWTH-Aachen where my efforts are oriented to the elucidation of structure and functionality of sub-micron responsive polymer materials in the by the application of Super-resolved Fluorescence microscopy and Time-resolved Fluorescence microscopy in addition to SERS microspectroscopy.
