Bio
Raquel Alves da Silva has a PhD degree in Linguistics by Universidade Nova de Lisboa - Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas (2014). Post-graduation in Health Literacy by Instituto Universitário de Ciências Psicológicas, Sociais e da Vida - ISPA, (2021).
She is Head of Health Literacy in VOH.CoLAB - Collaborative Laboratory Value for Health (https://vohcolab.org) - a laboratory publicly funded by the Portuguese Government whose mission is to help people and organizations to measure the value in health (2020).
In parallel, she is researcher at NOVA CLUNL (LLT - NOVA Linguistics Centre). The LLT group pursues fundamental research in the scientific areas of Lexicology, Lexicography and Terminology, focusing on the lexicon, vocabularies and terminologies and their implication in the knowledge about language, communication and society.
Since 2021, she is a member of IPQ/TC 221 “Terminologia, Língua e Linguagens” committee, the Portuguese mirror committee of ISO TC 37 / “Language and Terminology", created by Instituto Português para a Qualidade (IPQ).
In this scope, she has been participating in several projects considering perspectives from Lexical Semantics, Corpus Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Knowledge Organization and different theoretical and methodological terminological approaches. She published 2 articles in journals. Has 2 section(s) of books and 2 book(s). Organized 3 event(s). Co-supervised 1 PhD thesis(es). Supervised 3 MSc dissertation(s) e co-supervised 1.
