Sharton Vinicius Antunes Coelho

Graduated in sciences (microbiology and immunology) and PhD in immunology and inflammation, he is currently a post-doctorate in at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He has experience in the field of microbiology with an emphasis on virology, working mainly on the following topics: Endothelial injury and blood-brain barrier permeability changes induced by the dengue and zika viruses and in the study of the role of vasoactive peptides in the infection and activation of the endothelium by the virus dengue and Zika. In addition, he has participated in several projects involving the study of the Zika virus in animal and vaccine models.
