Giorgio S. Senesi

Giorgio S. Senesi received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in earth sciences (Major in Volcanology) from the University of Bari, Bari, Italy, in 1995 and the Ph.D. degree in earth sciences (Petrography) from the University of Bari, Bari, Italy, in 2000. From 1999 to 2000, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Laser Center, Valenzano, Bari, Italy. From 2000 to 2001, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences, University of Delaware, Newark, DE, USA. Since 2002, he has been a full time Researcher with National Council Research, Institute of Nanotechnology—PLASMI Lab, Bari, Italy. He is the author of four book chapters, more than 50 scientific and technical papers. His research interests include morphological characterization techniques (AFM, SEM, TEM), nanocrystalline diamond films, innovation plasma applications, laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy applied to environmental materials (minerals, gems, rocks, meteorites, soils, fertilizers, plants) and cultural heritage, spectroscopic diagnostics, laser–matter interaction, laser spectroscopy.
