Sean D. Rose was born in Cincinnati, OH, USA. He received the B.S. degree in physics and biochemistry from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA, in 2013. He began his graduate studies in medical physics at the University of Chicago in the summer of 2013 in the lab of Dr. X. Pan where he continues to work on the development and optimization of iterative methods for tomographic image reconstruction. His research interests include optimization-based image reconstruction for tomographic imaging modalities, objective assessment of image quality and its application to parameter selection, and large-scale optimization.
