Satya Krishna Ramachandran received the degree in medicine from JIPMER, Puducherry, India. He completed the board certification and specialist training in anesthesiology in India and U.K. He heads quality improvement and patient safety for anesthesia with the University of Michigan, while doubling up as a liver transplant/vascular Anesthesiologist. He is the Vice Chairman of the Quality, Safety, and Innovation in Anesthesiology with the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School. He is an internationally recognized Researcher in sleep apnea screening, perioperative mechanisms, and implications for postoperative outcomes. Dr. Ramachandran was a recipient of awards and funding from the Clinical and Translational Science Award Program of the National Institutes of Health (NIH-CTSA) and industry for his work.
