Satoru Yamaguchi

Satoru Yamaguchi received the B.E. degree from the School of Engineering, Hokkaido University, Hokkaido, Japan, in 1995 and the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the Graduate School of Environmental Science, Hokkaido University, Hokkaido, in 1997 and 2003, respectively. Since 2002, he has worked at Snow and Ice Research center, National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention, Niigata, Japan. His research interests include modeling snow physics; metamorphoses of snow crystal, water movement though snow, for development of avalanche forecast system. He is also interested in mountain meteorology in Japan.
