Dr. Satoh is a Professor at the Department of Frontier Science for Cancer and Chemotherapy, Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan. He is a certified doctor at the Japan Society of Internal Medicine, Japanese Society of Gastroenterology and Japanese Society for Medical Oncology. He is also involved in numerous cancer drug trials in gastric cancer field:

He has published widely in many international journals as first author of TyTAN trial and QOL analysis of ToGA trial etc. He is the leader in gastric cancer and other GI cancer field in Japan.
