Marco Santorum

Marco SANTORUM holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Université de Grenoble in France. He is an accredited researcher by SENESCYT in Ecuador and an associate professor at the Department of Informatics and Computer Science at Escuela Politécnica Nacional del Ecuador, where he also serves as the Director of the Doctorate Program in Computer Science. Marco Santórum has led several research and engagement projects at the Escuela Politécnica Nacional del Ecuador. He is a member of the multidisciplinary research group Sigti and directs the research laboratory on Social Information Systems. He has authored over 35 indexed articles in WOS and Scopus. His research interests include requirements engineering, information systems, serious games, business process management, ICT, and education. Since 2015, Marco SANTORUM has been leading the Digital Inclusion Project, which has been recognized by the OEA as an inspiring practice for higher education inclusion in Ecuador. He has also been nominated for the UNESCO Prize for promoting better educational quality for people with intellectual disabilities through the use of technology.
