Roberta Salomone is a full professor of Commodity Science at the Department of Economics of the University of Messina and previously associate professor and researcher in the same University. She is author of more than 170 publications in National and International Congress and National and International journals with referee. She attended to various National and International congress, also as invited speaker, and her main research topic are circular economy, industrial ecology and environmental sustainability management tools (environmental and integrated management systems, environmental analysis and assessment tools, such as as Life Cycle Assessment; environmental communication tools, such as Environmental Product Declaration and other kind of environmental labels; etc.), implemented in different productive and territorial context and aimed at the valorization of by-products and waste and the evaluation of the environmental quality of manufacturing processes and products. She took part of various research projects (among the last: CRESTING CiRcular Economy, SusTainability ImplicatioNs and Guiding progress). She is Vice Rector for student services at University of Messina. She is Member of the Board of the Italian Academy of Commodity Sciences. She is Member of the Board of the International Sustainable Development Research Society. She was member of the Board of the Italian LCA Network. She is reviewer of scientific articles for different ISI journals. She was member of GEV 13 in ANVUR (the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of the University System and Research) for the evaluation of the quality of Italian Research 2011-2014 (VQR 2011-2014). She was expert for the European Commission (DG Research & Innovation) in the evaluation of HORIZON 2020 proposals. She taught several subject (such as Sustainability Management, Industrial Ecology, Quality and Environmental Management) in university courses, University Master Degree, PhD courses and specialisation trainings. She received a PhD in Technology and Economics of processes and products for the environmental safeguarding at the University of Catania. She won a post-PhD scholarship in Messina. She graduated in Economics and Commerce (110/110 and honors).
