个人简介
My major is applied mathematics with a strong background in continuum mechanics, asymptotic analysis, and numerical methods. The dissertation deals with the mathematical modeling of the supercritical fluid extraction process of vegetable oils from ground seeds. At the time of the research I developed models of the process, explained some crucial features of the observed extraction kinetics, and rigorously studied the possibilities of extraction optimization. Currently, I am working as a Postdoctoral fellow at Clemson University, SC, USA, at the materials science and engineering dept. My background finds its application in a variety of projects: the understanding of fluid uptake mechanism by insects; capillary fluid dynamics; development of software for the thermodynamic simulations.
