Åsa M. Lindberg

Åsa M Lindberg was born in Helsinki, Finland, in 1966. She received the M.S., Licentiate, and Ph.D. degrees, all in physics, from the University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland, in 1990, 1993, and 1994, respectively. From 1995 to 1997 she worked in the Quantum Optics Group, Leiden University, Leiden, the Netherlands. Her research interest were the quantum noise properties of gas lasers. After a year at the home university in Helsinki, she spent 1999–2001 at Umeå University, Umeå, Sweden, where the research included developments of diode-laser-based spectrometric wavelength modulation techniques for sensitive detection of atoms and molecules. She is presently an Academic Research Fellow at University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland, investigating nonlinear dynamics of solid-state and semiconductor lasers.
