I am interested in solving complex decision (logistics and others) problems with too many possible combinations for a human to evaluate. My expertise is in decision and mathematical modelling. These problems can be solved using either optimisation software or heuristic search techniques (including AIs or deep learning) whichever is more suitable for the problem.
I am interested in applications in the general area of Logistics and Supply Chain (e.g., routing/distribution, facility location, rostering/planning, and scheduling) though I can help in related decision problems that require complex modelling and solution approaches.
I have a lot of experience in supervising PhD students (over 25) in the area of Operational Research (decision making), and also in providing consultancy and company advice and support.
