Research in Dr. Sherven Sharma's laboratory is geared toward unraveling the mechanisms in the tumor microenvironment that evade host responses and promote and maintain tumor growth. Knowledge gained from tumor host interactions is utilized for the development of novel cellular and non cellular platform-based immune strategies for cancer therapy. The Sharma lab is also interested in unraveling the genetic programs that lead to cancer metastasis.
