个人简介
Sabine Schorr-Galindo, 56, is Professor of Microbiology and Food Safety at the University of Montpellier (UM). She is responsible for training in microbiology, food safety, HACCP and biological risk management at Polytech Montpellier and at the faculty of science for masters IMHE and Ibiontech. She is deputy director of the UMR Qualisud (since 2011) in which she led several research projects on fungal contaminants and micropollutants within the “Microbial community and food safety” team. She was deputy director of the Polytech engineering school (2014-2019) and director of the Scientific Department of Food Processing and Processes at UM (2009-2014). She is an ANSES CES Biorisk expert (since 2012) (4th term) for her skills in mycotoxin-producing fungi, microbial ecology and antimicrobial products, agents and processes. She is also a member of the GBPH permanent WG at ANSES (since 2022). She is a member of the International Society of Mycotoxicology (ISM) and of various networks of food safety experts. Its main research theme concerns the control of biological and chemical contaminants (pathogens, toxins, mycotoxins) in the food chain, in particular through the use of biological agents or active molecules from micro-organisms or plant extracts: i ) Pre-harvest prevention and food quality control (coffee, cocoa, fruits and cereals) by controlling toxigenic fungal contaminants (Aspergillus, Penicillium, Fusarium and Alternaria genera) and mycotoxins (Ochratoxin A, Aflatoxins, Fumonisins, Patulin, Altertoxins) using antagonists, elicitors or antifungal compounds derived from plants or microorganisms; ii) Food quality control through post-harvest treatment and fermentation processes (coffee, cocoa, beer and wine): use of LAB or yeasts for antagonism of contaminants and adsorption/degradation of micropollutants; iii) Bioproduction of antimicrobial or entomopathogenic compounds from bacterial, fungal or algal cultures for biological control (toxins, volatile compounds, peptides, oligosaccharides, etc.). She has been coordinator of 15 projects in the field of mycotoxins, in particular in recent years on the prevention and control of toxigenic fungi such as the projects "Biocontrol of toxigenic fungal contaminants of vines and cereals by selected microbial strains" funded by the Agropolis Foundation and ANR (French national research agency) "Investments for the future" ANR-10-LABX-001-01 of Labex Agro n° 1403-062 (2015-2017); “Mycotoxins and fungal pathogens CONtrol by ACTinomycetes (CONTACT) (partnership between 2 UMRs Qualisud and BGPI), funding from the Agropolis foundation and ANR "Investments for the future" ANR-10-LABX-001-01 from Labex Agro n° 1605- 052 (€126,000); “Migration of mycotoxins in moldy foods (MIMYAL)” (2016-2018), (Qualisud-Lubem), ANSES Research and Development Agreement (CRD) (€50,000); ANR (French National Research Agency) PRCE Patrisk "Patulin risk reduction through an integrated and sustainable management of the production of apples and derivatives" (2017-2022), Challenge 5 CE 21 PRCE with 8 partners (UM Qualisud, INRA Toxalim, MMS, CTIFL, IFPC, AFIDEM, ECLOR, Val de Rance) (€672,000); WarmBioCoffee "Biocontrol of ochratoxinogenic fungi by endogenous lactic acid bacteria of coffee in a context of global warming" (2020-2023), funding from the Agropolis foundation and ANR "Investments for the future" ANR-10-LABX-001-01 from Labex Agro n° 1800-022 (€58,000). She is partner scientific manager of the project Mynion started in 2023 funded by the ANR on "MYcotoxiN migratION in moldy foods and exposure at the consumer level: one step further to determine consumer habits, provide safe consumer recommendations and limit food losses" with Lubem, Lego and UM qualisud (€635,000). She is the author of 55 publications and 83 communications (Hirsch-index web of sciences: 19) and has supervised 19 doctoral students (16 on the theme of mycotoxins) and 2 are currently in progress on Alternaria toxins in tomato production and on biocontrol on toxigenic fungi on coffee. She initiated the annual seminar of the French network on mycotoxins by organizing the first "Mycotoxin Day" in Montpellier in 2009 and the fifth in 2014. The 10th edition is planned in Montpellier in 2024.
