Salvatore Mancuso

I am a connoisseur of incredible gizmos, an enthusiast of fine cheeses and charcuterie. I only moonlight as a Data Engineer. I like to code, develop software and tools that make life effortless. I thoroughly enjoy learning new technologies that enable me to create more compelling work. I currently work as a Senior Data Engineer at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. I currently manage the Data Engineering team within the Data, Analytics, and Research Computing (DARC) team at Stanford's Graduate School of Business. I develop technical solutions for a wide range of faculty research projects in big data ETL, data collection, transformation, secure storage, and analytics. Additionally, I design and produce complex data pipelines while operating closely with the DARC team's data scientist. I come armed with expert-level knowledge of coding methodologies and deploying solutions in languages like Python, Bash, SQL, and Node. I most often use Stanfords on-premise computing cluster; however, I have in-depth experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform(GCP), and cloud wrappers like DataBricks.
