Scott G. Edgington

Scott G.C. Edgington received a B.S.E. in Engineering Physics from the University of Pittsburgh in 1992 and a Ph.D. in Atmospheric and Space Science from the University of Michigan in 1997. He has been with JPL for more than 20 years. He has served in the roles of: Deputy Project Scientist and Science Planning Engineer for the Cassini Mission to Saturn; Investigation Scientist for CIRS (Composite Infrared Spectrometer) onboard Cassini; Investigation Scientist for the Ultraviolet Spectrograph onboard Europa Clipper; Tactical Uplink Lead and Science Planning Integrator for the Mars InSight Mission; Campaign Implementation Science Engineering Liaison for the Mars Perseverance Mission; and Payload Uplink/Downlink Lead for SHERLOC (Scanning Habitable Environments with Raman and Luminescence for Organics and Chemicals) onboard Perseverance.
