S. Carturan

Sara Carturan received the degree in chemistry in 1993 from University of Padova, Padova, Italy, and the Ph.D. degree in chemistry from the University of Trento, Povo, Italy, in 2004, for her work on the synthesis and characterization of polyimide-based and sol-gel derived hybrid materials with outstanding features for application as plastic scintillators in the radiation-detector field. Since 1993, she has been working with the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare—Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro, as a Research Fellow. Since 2004, her research interests have widened to the field of gas and vapor optical-sensing materials. She is a Scientist at the University of Padova. She is the author of more than 20 publications in international scientific journals related to the above-cited research.
