He currently works at the Dept. of Basic and Applied Sciences for Engineering, Sapienza University of Rome, where at present he leads EMINA (Electron MIcroscopy and NAnoscopies) Lab. He is Director of the MS Program in Nanotechnology Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome and Vice-president of the scientific association ‘Nanoitaly’ Since its foundation in 2006, he joined the Research Center for Nanotechnology (CNIS) of Sapienza University of Rome, being a permanent member of its executive scientific board. In 2013 he has been qualified as Full Professor in Experimental Physics of Matter. Since 1998, his research activity regards mainly problems of nanoscience and nanotechnology and related characterizations problems using Electron and Scanning Probe Microscopy techniques.
