Matteo Rosati received the M.Sc. degree in physics from Università “La Sapienza”, Rome, Italy, in 2014 and the Ph.D. degree in physics from Scuola Normale Superiore, Pisa, Italy, in 2017. He held a Postdoctoral position with Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Bellaterra, Spain, from 2017 to 2019, followed by an individual Marie Skłodowksa-Curie Fellowship (MSCF) with Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, from 2020 to 2021, and an individual Einstein Fellowship with the Technische Universität Berlin, Germany, in 2021. He is currently a Lecturer with Università Roma Tre, Rome, Italy. Since his Ph.D., he has been working in the field of quantum information and optical communication technology, in particular studying coherent quantum decoders that outperform standard classical detection methods. During his MSCF, he applied machine learning methods to the calibration of complex quantum-optical architectures. His research interests include quantum optical communication, quantum learning, and quantum metrology.
