Robert W Gaskell

Robert W. Gaskell received his ScB in Physics from Brown University and his PhD from McGill University. After a dozen years in academia studying High Energy Physics and Group Theory, he spent 22 years in the Optical Navigation group at JPL. Bob ”retired” in 2006, joining the Planetary Science Institute. Over the past three decades, he has conceived of and developed Stereophotoclinometry, initially as a tool for spacecraft navigation but now is used to construct high resolution shapes and topography for comets, asteroids, and planets.
