His role is to develop and deliver genomic solutions to a broad range of clinical and research questions. Bob joined MGI in 1994, and he has over 25 years of experience in the generation of DNA sequence and analysis. Throughout his time at MGI, he has led the production-based targeted sequence efforts as well as the sequence improvement (finishing) pipelines responsible for genome sequence refinement.

The skills and expertise he has developed over the years are now applied to the development of technologies and sequence-based strategies designed to answer critical questions associated with the use of genomics in the clinical and research environments.

In addition to this, Mr. Fulton is still actively involved in sequence improvement activities. MGI continues to play a significant role in the improvement of the human and mouse genomes. Mr. Fulton is a key leader in the Genome Reference Consortium efforts and MGI maintains one of the few labs in the country dedicated to this effort.
