Robert E. Jensen

Robert E. Jensen received the B.S. degree in geological oceanography and the B.S.E. degree in environmental engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, in 1974; the M.S. degree in ocean engineering from Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR, USA, in 1978; and the Ph.D. degree in ocean engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, USA, in 1983. He has worked with the Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory, Engineer Research and Development Center, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Vicksburg, MS, USA, for over 35 years as a Research Oceanographer. He is the Principal Investigator of the Coastal Ocean Data Systems, where the long-term USACE wave hindcast studies are performed, and he coordinates USACE's wave measurement program funding the operation of the Coastal Data Information Program. He is the author or coauthor of over 75 papers, journal articles, and reports during his tenure working for the USACE in the area of wave physics, modeling, and measurements.
