Richard G Wamai currently works at the Department of Cultures, Societies and Global Studies and leads the Integrated Initiative for Global Health at Northeastern University. Richard does research in Qualitative Social Research, Social Policy and Public Health. He conducts research in the areas of HIV/AIDS, infectious and neglected tropical diseases, and health systems development and policy especially in Africa. One of his current projects is on 'Visceral and cutaneous leishmaniasis in the mid- and- north Rift Valley in Kenya'.
