His main research interests involve enamel matrix proteins for bone and periodontal regeneration, bioactive growth factors, platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), osteoinductive bone grafting materials, and guided bone regeneration in implant dentistry. He has recently been awarded many internationally recognized top young investigators awards including the Andre Schroeder Research Prize from the International Team of Implantology (2016), the Robert Frank Award for Basic Research in Dentistry (2015), the International Association of Dental Research Young Investigator of the Year in the field of Implant Dentistry (2015), the Canadian IADR Hatton Award recipient (2015), and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Young Investigator Grant Award (2014). He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed international research articles in the top ranking dental and biomaterial journals. He is also the head educator at Advanced PRF Education (prfedu.com).
