Randi M Williams

Randi M. Williams, PhD, MPH is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Cancer Prevention and Control Program in the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Williams' primary research interest focuses on decision-making processes as well as the informational and support needs of African Americans eligible for evidence-based screenings. Her dissertation research described aspects of decision-making including knowledge and awareness about lung cancer screening using low dose computed tomography, values related to screening, and decision-making preferences among African Americans at high risk for developing lung cancer. As a postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Williams plans to receive training in smoking cessation strategies and community-based approaches to addressing cancer disparities.
