My research areas are human & molecular genetics, cancer genetics, neurogenetics and genomics. Current research in my lab focuses on the identification and characterization of disease genes and their mutations/variants for Li-Fraumeni Syndrome (LFS), an inherited cancer syndrome, and the myotonic dystrophies (DM), the most common adult neuromuscular disorder. Approaches include classic and molecular genetics, genomics, and transgenic, knock-in and knock-out approaches in mouse and fly models.
