Ragnhild E. Aune (M'11) was born in Trondheim, Norway, in 1965. She received the M.Sc. degree in metallurgical and materials technology, the Ph.D. degree in theoretical metallurgy, and the Docent degree in theoretical process metallurgy with emphasis on functional materials from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden, in 1993, 1998, and 2005, respectively. Since 2009, she has been a Full Professor of process metallurgy at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim. She has published extensively in the following areas: 1) advanced material processing; 2) material characterization; 3) electromagnetic processing; 4) biomaterials; 5) physico-chemical property measurements and evaluation; 6) modeling/system integration; 7) green manufacturing technology; 8) energy material technology; and 9) refining and recycling of metals.
