Rachel’s research uses mixed methods to investigate societal value(s) with respect to resource allocation for health and wellbeing. She has been involved in a number of studies to value and weight QALYs. Rachel led a methodological project funded by the MRC developing Q survey methods to investigate social value(s) and end of life technologies (2011-14). She leads the CommonHealthAssets.uk project, funded by NIHR, a realist study looking at community led organisations, health & wellbeing.
