Roberto Garibay-Orijel

In my lab we conduct interdisciplinary research on ectomycorrhizal fungi. This includes ecology, taxonomy and systematics, ethnomycology, genomics and biotechnology. By doing so we provide a strong knowledge basis for mushroom sustainable use and management. Our methods are wide, from ethnological approaches to molecular biology. Currently we are focusing on useful mushrooms (edible and toxic) genomics.
