His main interests are reconstruction of congenital anomalies of the genitalia and the lower urinary tract. He is widely known for his work in the use of gastrointestinal segments in genitourinary reconstruction and reconstruction of ambiguous genitalia and cloacal anomalies. He has been an invited lecturer and Visiting Professor in many countries throughout the world.
