Motivated by personal experience needs and requirements from industry, current research is focused in:
1. Control in power electronics: this research topic focuses to nonlinear dynamics in power electronic systems, and some research results have already been published. Besides, some fairly general design methods like the Nyquist criterion had been revisited, addressing different visualization and the application of modern computational techniques.
2. Automated measurement systems: this research topic has been present for about five years and covers application of free software in control of measurements, with the goal of creating complex measurement systems integrating available equipment of different vendors. An auxiliary result was reformation of the Electrical Measurements course applying automated measurements, where students both acquire skills in measurements within actual physical systems and processes, as well as computer proficiency.
