Pranvera Lazo

Pedro S. Lazo is Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a member of Institute of Oncology in the University of Oviedo. He is Ph. D. at the University of Salamanca. He was a postdoctoral investigator at The Roche Institute of Molecular Biology (New Jersey) and The NIH in Bethesda (Maryland). He has been visiting scientist at Tufts University (Boston), The University of Birmingham (England), The Bristol-Mayers Squibb Institute of Pharmaceutical Research at Princeton (New Jersey), Washington University in St. Louis (Missouri) and the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston (Texas). He teaches Molecular Biology at the Medical School in Oviedo and has been supervisor of 23 Ph. D. Thesis. He has been Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Director of International Relations and Vice-Rector for Research at the University of Oviedo. He is currently serving as Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
