Speed of sound in air seems to be something consolidated. It is known that it depends on environmental parameters. The most thrusted theoretical works (Cramer 1992 and Zuckerwar 2002) state uncertainties ranging from 300 to 1000 ppm. In a measurement campaign lasted several months in 2020 we have carried out an experiment to measure the speed of sound in air with an unprecedented accuracy with two independent experiments reaching an uncertainty less than 100 ppm.
