Judy Pickard

Judy Pickard currently works in the School of Psychology at the University of Wollongong. Judy's research is focussed on mindfulness and self compassion as agents of change. Primarily she is focussed on the role these constructs play in interrupting the cross-generation transmission of attachment. Judy is currently conducting a research trial incorporating play therapy and maternal mentalisation to foster greater attunement in the parent child relationship and improved child development outcomes.
