Philippe Blanc was graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Bretagne (France) in 1995 with a signal and image processing specialization. In 1999, he obtained a Ph.D. in Signal, Automatic and Robotics from the MINES ParisTech. He worked for 9 years in the Research Department of Thales Alenia Space in projects related to Earth observation and spaceborne systems. Since 2007, he has been working as a senior scientist in the Center for Energy and Processes of MINES ParisTech, in Sophia Antipolis. He is now the responsible of the research activities related to renewable energy assessment in the Center Observation, Impacts, Energy.
