I lead the Bovine Tuberculosis portfolio across APHA. This is a highly multidisciplinary portfolio encompassing bTB surveillance, epidemiology, testing/confirmation across GB as well as significant applied research & development. Current projects include: licencing a deployable Cattle BCG vaccine/DIVA test, developing improved diagnostics (cattle and wildlife) and exploiting the full potential of Whole Genome Sequencing. I have +25 years experience in immunology and bTB vaccine research.
