Miribel-Catala, P.

Pere LI. Miribel-Català (Member, IEEE) received the M.S. degree in physics, and the Ph.D. degree in microelectronic from the University of Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, in 1994 and 2000, respectively. Since 2003, he is a Tenured University Lecturer with the Department of Electronics and Biomedical Engineering and Member of the Bioengineering and Nano Bioengineering-SICBIO Group, University of Barcelona. From 1993 to 1999, he was a Research Fellow with Systems for Instrumentation and Communications Laboratory (SIC Lab), University of Barcelona, working on high-voltage smart power circuits and microelectronic design. In 1998, he was a Visiting Research Fellow with LAAS-CNRS Laboratory. He also worked on designing power management integrated dc–dc converters during a postdoctoral stage at the design center of ON Semiconductor Inc. He was the Biomedical Engineering Master Coordinator with the University of Barcelona from 2013 to 2015. He has supervised four Ph.D. students, with two more on the road, and several graduate and master degree projects. He has authored or coauthored 33 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, several chapters of books (>15), and more than 70 conferences, and coauthored two books. He has been a coordinator of three national projects and participated in six European projects and several national projects. He has participated in seven transfer projects and has coauthored three patents. His research topics are focused on low-voltage low-power integrated circuits, interface, and analog processing circuits, particularly for biomedical applications, smart power, energy harvesting, and power management circuits.
