Arthur Paul Schwab

Paul Schwab is a Professor of Environmental Soil Chemistry at Texas A&M University. His area of research is the reclamation and remediation of contaminated soil and water with particular emphasis on the use of higher plants in remediation (phytoremediation). He has published approximately 100 peer-reviewed articles, 15 book chapters, co-edited a book, and co-authored a book. Dr. Schwab has advised 12 Ph.D. students and 10 M.S. students. He has served on and chaired review panels for US EPA, NSF, and US Department of Agriculture. He was an associate editor for Journal of Environmental Quality and the Soil Science Society of America Journal and served as national chair for the Soil Chemistry Division and the Environmental Quality Division of the Soil Science Society of America.
