Born in Melfi (PZ), May 18, 1957. Degree in Medicine (1982) and Residency in Clinical Pharmacology (1986), Catholic University Medical School in Rome. Here he was appointed Assistant Professor of Pharmacology (1988), Associate Professor of Pharmacology (1992) and Full Professor of Pharmacology (2002 to date). From 1998 to 2004, he’s been in the advisory board of the ‘Commissione Unica del Farmaco’ (CUF) of Italian Ministry of Health; in 2001-2003, he coordinated the Pharmacovigilance Commitee of CUF. From 2004 to date, he is in the advisory board of the ‘Agenzia Italiana del Farmaco’ ; he’s involved in the assessment of marketing authorization dossiers, national and EMEA procedures’ committees. He co-authored more than 190 full papers indexed in Pubmed.
