Paola Del Carlo

PdC's research activity is on volcano geology, tephrostratigraphy, ash particles characterization, petrography and geochemistry, physical volcanology of the explosive eruptions and volcanic risk assessment. She has a experience in field work on active volcanoes and in coring activities offshore and inland. She has been involved in projects for the study of Cenozoic and Neozoic Volcanism in Southern Victoria Land (Antarctica) and has partecipated in Italian expeditions at MZS and McMurdo Station (Ross Sea). She has also experience in monitoring activities of Etna and Stromboli volcanoes.
