My research interests centre on the nutrition and digestive physiology of farm animals, particularly poultry, using biochemistry, cell kinetics, cytochemistry and immunohistochemistry, among other techniques. More recently, I have been involved in research into alternatives to in-feed antibiotics in poultry diets and the potential of various low-cost alternative feed ingredients for poultry.
