个人简介
Dr. Oskar Elek is a computational researcher and adjunct lecturer at the University of California in Santa Cruz, and an incubator fellow at the Open Source Program Office therein. Oskar explores algorithms that draw from complex multi-agent systems and explores their applications in astrophysics, data science, visualization, and computational art. He is the lead developer of the open-source projects Polyphorm and PolyPhy and inventor of the Monte Carlo Physarum Machine methodology. His previous experience includes research in visual computing, such as physically based rendering, computational fabrication, appearance optimization and real-time rendering, conducted at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics in Saarbruecken, Germany and Charles University in Prague, Czechia.
