Osama is an associate professor in Environmental Microbiology at State Key Laboratory of Desert and Oasis Ecology, Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, (CAS). He is also an associate professor in the Alliance of International Science Organizations-the Association for Combating Desertification and Arish University in Egypt. His research is directed towards an understanding of the structural and functional organization of beneficial plant-associated microbial communities associated with Medicinal Plant in arid land and study of plant-microbe interactions in order to support the development of natural products that may minimize the need for the application of chemical fertilizer and fungicides, which would be an environmentally friendly approach and preserve biological resources in a sustainable agricultural system. He has published more than 43 SCI research articles, one book, and two book chapters. In addition, his h-index reached 17, and also the total citations of his documents reached 790 articles. For his best academic achievements, he received numerous fellowships and awards including President International Fellowship, Talent Young Scientist (TYSP), and Science Diplomacy Programme “ Diplomazia” funded by the European Union and organized by the Ministry of foreign affairs of Italy. Moreover, he is the PI and member of an ongoing research project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Ministry of science and technology of China, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2017, Osama was officially invited to a “One Belt One Road Initiative” opening ceremony under the auspices of His Excellency President Xi Jinping representing foreign Talent Young Scientists in China, and also was officially invited to attend the “World Youth Forum” which was held at SHARAM EL SHEIKH, EGYPT under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi as a representative of Egyptian Talent Young Scientists in China. In 2018 he has been awarded the Distinguished Scholar Export of the Xinjiang branch, Chinese Academy of Science, and also One Belt One Road for international cooperation award. In 2019 he has been selected for the Chinese Academy of Science International Cooperation Award for Talent Young Scientist. In 2020 he has been selected for the Tian Shan award; the highest honor awarded by the people's government of the region to foreign experts by Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. In 2021, Osama was selected as Vice Charmain of Silk Road Bio-health Agriculture Industry Alliance.
